'Beware the Ides of March'

I listened to a great book yesterday on my trek down to Evansville and back. It was something I grabbed at random - The Road by Cormac McCarthy. It was amazing and the perfect book for me. A father/son story set in post-apocalyptic America. I recommend it highly.

It is cold today and raining - depressing as ever. The barn still sits in the field like a dark secret. I can see it from the window in the guest bedroom. Rising from the broken cornstalks clad in withered ancient boards and capped in rusted sheet metal. Before we leave here I am going to walk out to it. I will let you know.

I once visited a friend who went to college at the University of Evansville. It was nice.

Good luck with the barn.
